It’s been interesting to hear projections of what transportation will look like in the future. Many people assume the current internal combustion engine will fade away and be replaced by more efficient and environmentally friendly alternatives. I hope they are right.
I look to China: EVs now account for over 51% of all new car sales there, with fully electric. Of all passenger cars currently on the road in China, approximately 10% to 12% are electric. So I think EVs are the future - it is not even climate responsibility that will drive this - it will be the least expensive way to power transportation. A significant percentage of autonomous vehicles is a more open question in my mind.
Thank you it is way over due for everyone to start having realistic conversations about the bike vs car emission war which should NOT be a war but a civil dialogue before we lose more businesses to lack of parking and reduced parking/accesibility in our city which directly impacts the number of people willing to work/play/stay and pay taxes!

I drive a car. I have to admit that up until a couple years ago I didn't really even understand this was an issue. I do now.
And I'm right there with you.
